The aim of the Llanion Communities First partnership has been to develop a strategic Community Action Plan setting out the aspirations and priorities of the wider community. To date 2 such plans have been developed 2006/2007 and 2008/2009.

These plans are delivered in partnership with organisations with a stake in the positive development of the ward.

The starting point for the action plans has been the gathering of information from various sources including partners and all sections of the community.

The Communities First programme looks set to enter a new phase in 2009 - 'Communities Next'. The Welsh Assembly Governments vision for Communities Next is:-

"A programme which is the next phase of the Communities First Programme and will mobilise and enable local people to contribute to the regeneration of their communities in practical ways, in line with their local priorities and those of statutory bodies such as the Assembly Government, local authorities and health bodies"

Yoyo Family Centre - Hamilton Court
